The RA representative in the ECHR stated that the Republic of Armenia has applied to the European Court of Human Rights, demanding the provision of fundamental rights to the Armenian servicemen captured during the aggressive actions unleashed by Azerbaijan on November 16 2021, in the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
An appeal has been submitted to the European Court of Justice to impose an interim measure on Azerbaijan under Rule 39 of the Rules of Court, which aims to guarantee the right of captive servicemen to a life free from torture guaranteed by the European Convention on Human Rights.
